What we Do:
The UofA Networking Group brings students and community organizations together. Through our partnership with FACTSnet UofA  we seek to help UofA students find opportunities that advance their career and/or personal life.  We endeavor to provide equal opportunities for all.


How to become a Member:

To become a member email factsnetuofa@gmail.com.  To maintain membership in the UofA Network Group students need to respond at least once a year to our online club updates.

Opportunities Meeting:

Come learn more about receiving $1000 for volunteer work (international students can apply), and learn more about the club and other student opportunities. See FACTSnet.org click on FACTSnet Student Opportunities. There are also opportunities for involvement with the club in various positions.

At this meeting we will look at tips for travel (Nov. Break and Christmas), events to attend in November and December (Remembrance Day, Grey Cup Party, Christmas events, New Year’s Eve Hometown Hockey, and Fall and Winter break horse opportunities).

We will also look at summer jobs and networking opportunities.

UofA Animal Care network

The Animal Care Networking Group works to bring students or individuals with varying levels of animal experience together. In partnership with FACTSnet, there are internships and volunteer opportunities available.  See opportunities mentioned above. and click on Equine.

UofA Mental Health Network

The U of A Networking Group’s Mental Health branch on campus aims to connect students to university resources pertaining to both services available to help, and also to organizations where they can become more involved as volunteers. This upcoming year, we look to expand further by connecting faculties together with student services, in developing and promoting faculty-specific student support.



UofA International Network

Our International Students Network began with a focus on Alberta/Japan relations and information both for students on outgoing exchanges to Japan and incoming exchanges from Japan to Alberta. Currently, it is growing towards including all international students, and specific information for resources available in different faculties.



We are currently looking for a coordinator for this network,  Interested students can apply and find out more information by emailing factsnetuofa@gmail.com

UofA Equine Network

The Equine Networking Group works to bring students or individuals with varying levels of equine experience together. In partnership with FACTSnet, there are internship and volunteer opportunities available.   See  Equine Network Interns or See our poster.
